Hookahs for Sale: How to Choose the Right Hookah Pipe
The perfect hookah depends on three things: where you smoke, how many people join you and the hookah experience you want. Answer those first, then narrow the choice by material and budget. The groups below match the size filter in the compare table, so you can jump straight to the right models.
Solo Sessions: Small Hookah and Mini Models
A small hookah fits on a nightstand, a desk or a balcony table, and you can reach the bowl without standing up. It saves space, is easy to move between rooms, heats up slightly faster than a large model and is suitable for one or two people. Browse mini hookahs for the smallest footprint.
Home Lounge: Medium and Modern Hookahs
For a living room or a home lounge, a medium-sized hookah with a glass base and a single hose is the classic choice, with an even draw for one or two people. It stands on a coffee table, its wider base keeps it from tipping over, it holds the bowl at a comfortable height and has room for a heat management device. For a clean, minimal look, explore modern hookahs.
Parties and Guests: Large Models and Multi-Hose Hookahs
Large models stand on the floor and become the centerpiece of the room when friends come over. A single hose passed around the group keeps things simple and the draw strong. If several people want to smoke at once, choose 2-hose or 4-hose hookahs with valves on the hose ports, so the unused hoses do not leak air or weaken the draw. Most hookahs in our store are single hose designs, so the multi-hose range is smaller. See all large hookahs.
Travel: Portable Hookahs
A portable hookah packs into a bag or a case and sets up in minutes at a campsite, a hotel or on a weekend trip. When you pick from travel hookahs, look for a carrying case or a sturdy base, so the glass and the bowl stay safe on the road.
From our product specs
Hookah Size Guide
Size names differ from maker to maker, so here is what they usually mean in our collection, based on the heights listed in our product specs:
- Mini hookahs
around 10 inches
- Small hookahs
12 to 20 inches
- Medium hookahs
18 to 24 inches
- Large hookahs
22 to 28 inches
Mini hookahs: around 10 inches tall, the most compact option for a shelf or a bag. Small hookahs: usually 12 to 20 inches, a good size for a desk or a side table. Medium hookahs: usually 18 to 24 inches, a popular size for home use. Large hookahs: usually 22 to 28 inches and heavier, made to stand on the floor or a low table.
Height mainly changes the look and where the hookah fits; it has little effect on how thick the smoke is. Before you buy, check the height, the weight, the base diameter and other features in the specifications, and use the compare table above to see several models side by side.

Materials
Hookah Materials and Build Quality

Stainless steel hookahs are a popular choice: the stem resists rust, cleans fast and, made from high-quality stainless steel, can last a lifetime with care.

Many wooden hookahs combine a steel core with a hand-finished shell, so each piece has its own grain.

Brass and copper models lean toward classic hookah styles and need regular polishing.

Glass hookahs show the water and smoke inside the vase, are easy to clean and do not hold on to old flavors, though glass is fragile and needs careful handling.

Anodized aluminum is light and budget-friendly but can wear over time, so it needs gentle cleaning to keep its finish, and many modern designs add carbon fiber, polymer or magnetic parts.
Whatever the material, check that the stem is stainless steel or anodized aluminum rather than an unbranded alloy of unknown quality that can corrode inside. Look for a thick glass vase, tight seals (a rubber grommet on traditional models, a threaded or click-lock connection on many modern ones), a purge valve that clears stale smoke from the base, and replacement parts from the same maker; hoses, mouth tips and seals are in hookah parts. Parts are not standardized across manufacturers, so check the connection type in the specifications before you mix them.

Styles
Hookah Styles: Modern, Traditional and Unique
Traditional hookahs keep the classic Middle Eastern look: decorated metal stems, colored glass vases and hand-finished details; Egyptian hookahs have been popular for centuries and many are collectible. Modern designs focus on function: a consistent draw, simple care, sealed connections and room for a modern hookah bowl with a heat management device. If you are interested in a hookah that stands out, browse unique hookahs and cool hookahs; for a charcoal-free smoking experience, see electric hookahs. All charcoal models work with the same shisha tobacco and coals, so the choice comes down to the style you want at home.
Care
Caring for Your Hookah
A little care after each session keeps any hookah looking and working well for many years.
- Empty and rinse the base, rinse the stem with warm water so old smoke and shisha tobacco flavor do not build up, and let all parts dry before you assemble them again.
- Wipe wooden and polished parts with a soft cloth, check the seals from time to time and replace worn ones with parts from the same maker.
- Washable silicone hoses are the easiest to keep fresh.

Finish Your Hookah Setup
Hookah accessories finish the setup: a phunnel bowl keeps the shisha juices in the bowl, natural coconut coals give a cleaner flavor than quick-light coals, and a washable silicone hose is the easiest to keep fresh. Bowls, coals, heat management devices, hoses, tongs, foil and coal burners are all in our accessories collection, and most product pages list the package contents and the accessories that pair with that model.

Hookah FAQ
What is a hookah?
A hookah is a water pipe for smoking flavored shisha tobacco. The tobacco sits in a bowl under heated coals, and the smoke travels through the stem and the water in the base to the hose.
How much does a hookah cost?
It depends on what the hookah is made of and how much of it is finished by hand: from affordable starter sets to handcrafted luxury models. Our three price levels sort the collection for you, and the current price is on each product page.
What is the best hookah to buy?
The one that fits how you smoke: a small hookah for solo sessions, a medium hookah for a home lounge, a large or multi-hose model for groups and a portable hookah for travel. Then choose the style and price level.
Which hookah brand is best?
Russian makers such as Alpha Hookah, Union and El Bomber focus on stainless steel, Wookah from Poland on handcrafted wooden shafts, and Steamulation from Germany on precise engineering. Use the compare table above to see the differences.
What is the best modern hookah?
Look at stainless steel lines such as Alpha Model X, Union, El Bomber, Conceptic Design and Steamulation. Compare their height, weight and hose ports side by side.
What size hookah should I buy?
Choose a mini or small hookah for one person or a small space, a medium hookah for use at home with one or two guests, and a large hookah if it will stand on the floor and serve a group.
What is a good hookah for beginners?
A complete hookah set in the medium size: it is easy to set up and clean, and you can upgrade the bowl or add a heat management device later. A full set usually includes the stem, base, tray, bowl, hose and a heat management device or foil; add tongs, coals and a cleaning brush to start.
Can I buy a hookah online?
Yes. Shopping online lets you compare many models side by side, more than most local sellers keep in stock. You can order hookahs on our site if you are 21 or older; we verify the age of our customers. Shipping times and return rules are on our shipping and returns page.
